Burlington firms rose over the rest in this year’s 1Awards levels of competition.
The once-a-year competitors, run by FirstOntario Credit Union in partnership with seven other corporations, provides neighborhood companies in the Hamilton, Halton, Brant and Niagara regions the opportunity to showcase their strategies as they vie for prizes of hard cash and in-kind expert services.
Among the the 10 contenders, this year’s winners are Laila’s Cheesecake Co., Joe Apps Technological innovation Aid Inc., Toques from the Coronary heart and Kintore Espresso Co.
The four organizations that gave “winner-deserving pitches” will share $25,000 in money and $175,000 in skilled, in-variety providers, in accordance to a media launch.
Joanne Battaglia, senior vice-president of internet marketing at FirstOntario, claimed the contest observed a “record-setting” range of applicants this 12 months as the method carries on to increase.
